Guess I should post something

Anyone out there? Can't blame you if you left. I have been less then stellar about posting these days. Trying to dodge the computer police and been reading everyone else's interesting posts.

Marjorie is 7 1/2 months old. At her 6 month appointment she was 19 pounds, 27 1/4 inches long. I looked in Alex's baby book and he was only 16 pounds 2 ounces and 25 inches long at 6 months. Guess nursing for that extra month and half gave the girl a better start.

She is still such a happy baby. The only time she cries is when she sees her bottle and you don't shove it in her mouth fast enough and then it isn't even a real cry more of a pissing and moaning thing. Or when she gets a bubble in the middle of the night because she sucked down her nighttime bottle in 0.5 seconds before passing out. Still pretty much sleeping through the night, just the occassional bubble wake up.

Wednesday night though she was up doing the screaming, pain cry at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 and 3:00. It also sounded like she was drowning and she was gasping for air. Needless to say I stayed home with her yesterday and we ended up going to the doctor. I had called the 24 hour nurse hotline and the nurse said to take her in after I had described what had happened through out the night. So we get to the walk in clinic and have to wait an hour and a half to be seen and she was so good. Even though she was going on only about 4 hours of sleep she still was flirting with the receptionist and doing the butt bounce across the floor. So we finally get in to see the doctor and he acts like I am wasting his time because all she has is a cold. I tried to explain to him that the girl never cries and that her lungs sounded congested. At least he listened to her lungs and they were clear and her ears are fine as well. I finally lost it with his asshole attitude and told him that we worked way too hard to get this little girl here and that I wasn't going to just assume it was a freaking cold and have it turn out to be something worse. There is just too much going around this summer and way too many babies ending up in the hospital for me to feel comfortable ignoring the horrid gurgling she was making all night. That shut him up.

So last night she slept better and was feeling pretty good this morning. You could tell she was still not back to her normal self but I think she is working on getting better. I hope this passes quickly and that when she goes back to daycare full time she stays healthy.

Fun stuff. I still have not seen her roll over, apparently she will for my mom just not for me. She is sitting up very well now and will flop over to her tummy to try and get her toys. She can spin in a circle on her belly. I just wish she would use her arms for leverage instead of the side of her head. That has to hurt on the wood floors. She has taken on the characteristics of her namesake, the Dragon, and will roar at you or her toys. There are days that when I get home at night she is hoarse from roaring all day. It is just too cute. I need to get a video camera so I can document the cuteness.

The folks leave in a couple weeks to head to Mexico again. That is going to suck and I don't know if Marjorie and Grandma will be able to be parted for that long. Even Grandpa is going to be missing the little shit.

My big baby boy starts high school on the 2nd. I still can't believe he is that old. He is 5'8" and 106 pounds. I told him he could be a supermodel, but he might have to lose a couple pounds. ;)

Bathroom is completely done, need to take final pictures and post them.

Nothing else new. Just projects around the house every weekend, why did I buy a house that is over 100 years old again? Enjoying baby and showing up for work 5 days a week to pay the bills.

Hope you all are doing fine. I have been reading what you all post and even comment once in a while. So happy for those who finally got their much wanted babies this summer. That is such great news to read.

So I guess most posts, when I ever get around to doing them, will be all about the girl because I really can't carry on normal conversations in real life these days without talking about her so why would my writing be any different? I have some really cute pictures of her in her car that I need to download. She sure thinks she is smart when we put her in it even though she won't be really ready for it until next year.

Well, thanks for stopping by and I will try to post more often, yeah right, I keep saying that and look what happens. ;) Love, hugs and big Hellos to all.
