It's Official

Ha! No, I am not pregnant. At least I won't know for a while, but I got you to read it didn't I?

It is official that I am a jinx. From this point forward, to all of you trying for a baby, email me when you get the news and I will not visit or post about you until you deliver your baby. I have now jinxed two of my lovely ladies and I am surprised I have not been struck down by lightening because of my evilness. Go say nice things to Lorem and Vivien. I so ruined it for them and if there is anyway I can possibly make it up to them, I will do it. Lorem is password protected but just follow the directions when you get the little popup box and if you are approved you can contact her.

Any bloggers in Charlotte get on contacting Lorem as she will be there and is looking for stuff to do. J has a convention so she is heading with him. Hope that is ok that I am telling the world where to find you dear, if not well, I won't be back on here til Wednesday so I apologize now.

We are off to the northwoods for the big 4th of July weekend. Leaving tomorrow and not coming home til Tuesday. That will be fun. I will be working on my blankets to send to South Africa. I am going to put my mom on making a bunch too, though she probably won't have much time until she gets back to Mexico for the winter but I am going to get some done and in the mail soon. Plus I found all kinds of cool stuff to send along for the babes and the moms. I hope I got the right stuff.

That is about all I have for you today. I think I am burned out from all those multiple posts in the past few days battling blogger to get pictures posted. Thanks to all that stopped by and gave such lovely comments. I love you guys! MMMMWWWWAAAAHHHH!!!!!

I replied in the comments to some of your comments so go check, specifically to Kellie and Lorem. Kellie, yes I am sorry to have ruined your homemade fry experience. Lorem, that floor sucks! So much adhesive coming up around each peice, part of why I was so thrilled to get it out of the bathroom, imagine the cat litter stuck to each seam full of adhesive. I think you get the picture.

I wish I would have remembered that I had that digital camera available and taken before and during pictures. Then you all would really appreciate how nice that room looks now.

Have a great weekend and talk to you all on Wednesday. Be good!

Take two.

Ok, more photos of the home improvements.

My pretty tiles that I got at a rummage sale. I still need to finish the grout and then caulk around them. I also plan to move the mirrored medicine cabinet down to be closer to the top of the tiles as it is really too high anyway and then I hope that it let's more of the light down on the sink.

This is what I did on Friday, one of the projects anyway, when I stayed home. These are 12 x 12 stick on tiles. We had put down 3/4 inch plywood in the entire hallway floor for extra support. It worked out well with the installation of the new door too.

The new back door. My walls really are not that minty/lime green. The color is a darker green that is quite pretty. The flash sure makes them look crappy here though. I have not decided if I should paint the new door dark green, the old one was, or just paint it white. Ideas anyone? I kind of like it white but I have a gallon of the dark green that I should use at some time. So I need your help.

Long shot down the hallway. We currently have some plywood sitting on the stick on tiles to help keep them from popping up along the seems. It has been 4 days now so I think we can remove the plywood. As you can see Jack had to get his face in the picture too. Can't do much around our place without Fatboy "helping".

I will post more pictures of my other projects that were completed on Friday. I am addicted to posting pictures now, I hope you are all happy. ;)

Future pictures:
Stained, with white stain, the lattice around the deck.
Put up the new stairs off the back of the deck, ok, Steve helped with that but if I would have known how easy it was going to be I could have done it myself.
Planted flowers in the flower beds and in some pots around the yard.
Cleaned the shed, probably won't post pictures of this because it is still looking crappy but believe me, you should have seen it before!
So that is my fun on days off and weekends. Anyone want to come visit me?

You Ask, You Shall Receive

Ok, I am a retard. I have access to a digital camera, sitting right next to me all day every freaking day at work. So since the battery needed charging anyway, I took it home, charged it and snapped photos of the new and improved bathroom just for all of you who asked. Hope you like it.

For some background, this bathroom is our second bathroom, we never use the shower, Alex uses the toilet and the sink and the cat boxes sit in here due to having no other place to put them. When I bought the place this tiny little bathroom, 6 by 9 not counting the tub was painted a dark, forest green, there are no windows in this room. I proceeded to paint it bright white and then got carried away with sponge painting in green and teal blue. Remind that sponge painting is a bad, bad thing if I ever think of doing that again. Royal pain in the ass to cover that shit up.

So now the new color is basic off white. So enjoy more photos.

This is actually the kitchen floor but it is what the old floor in the bathroom looked like before I tore it out.

This is the new linoleum and the new trim peice that I had to put along the tub because the rocket scientist that put the old trim up glued it to the tub and that crap would not come off. See the curtains that I modified to provide some privacy for the beasts?

The tub with the plywood platform for the cat's new "thrown room".

Ok, now we move on to the next post. I think I need to get me one of them there Flicker accounts if I am going to be doing this picture thing for much longer.

Here Goes Nothing Kate.

Kate at The Infertility Times tagged me with the one meme that I was dreading. Thanks Kate.;) It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

7 things I'd like to do before I die:

1. Travel the world.
2. If I can't do 1, then at least get back to Jamaica with Steve and Alex and go to Ireland.
3. Go back to school to become an interior designer.
4. Win the lottery
5. Have enough money to not have to worry and to be able to help Alex out, like my parents have me, when he needs me.
6. Grow my hair past my shoulders and have it look nice not thin and fine like it usually does.
7. Start my own aerobics class where we actually get a workout.

7 things that I can't do:

1. Pay attention in staff meetings.
2. Make chocolate chip cookies. They turn out like hockey pucks every time.
3. Get a new job.
4. Admit that I am wrong, I can but it really is painful.
5. Watch scarey movies. If I do I have nightmares for weeks.
6. Apparently, have another baby.
7. Not pick a fight with my dad whenever we are around him. But he is so very fun to pick on.

7 things that attracted me to my husband:

1. He's fun.
2. I don't have to babysit him when we go places. He is able to start a conversation up with someone he doesn't know so that I don't have to sit there the whole time making sure he is entertained.
3. His heart is in the right place. He means well but sometimes drive me nuts.
4. He puts up with my freak outs.
5. He is AWESOME in bed. Yep and he is all mine.
6. He has always, since the very beginning of our relationship, included Alex. Never has treated Alex like he didn't matter, always talked to him and has treated him like a person not a burden.
7. I can drink him under the table. You all know how important that is in a relationship. ;) It can be fun but he never gets headaches, asshole!

7 books (or series of books) that I love: (all Fantasy books, I need to escape from reality somehow)

1. Dragons of Pern Series - Anne McCaffrey
2. Camber of Culdi Trilogy - Katherine Kurtz
3. Valdemar Series - Mercedes Lackey
4. Witch World Series - Andre' Norton
5. The Divinci Code - Dan Brown
6. Mad Ship Series - Robin Hobb
7. World Without End - Sean Russell

7 Movies I'd watch over and over:
1. The Matchmaker
2. The Cutting Edge
3. Ice Age
4. Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion
5. Pretty in Pink
6. Sixteen Candles
7. Lion King(it is stuck with me since Alex was 2 and we watched it so much we had to buy a new VHS tape of that movie)

7 people I'd like to tag:
Since I think most people have been hit with this one, go ahead and do it if you are one of the few to not have done this yet. So Dacia! Ok, I tagged one person.

Take care my lovelies and we will talk soon.

Go back two to start.

Alrighty then, I think this will be the last one.

Photos removed
So there, once I get a digital I can post pictures of us now. Two years later. May have to do the before and after pictures, before when we were newlyweds and after we were an old, infertile married couple. Yeah, that will be fun.

I hope you enjoyed the lovely photos.

READ THE ONE BEFORE THIS FIRST!!!!

Ok, now if you didn't heed my title you will be picking up the story in the middle. Or you still have the chance to move to the previous post to start the story.
Photos removed sorry.
Ok, now I have to start another dang post because I don't know how to make Blogger let me upload more pictures, f-ing computers.

I suppose I should have done this yesterday

A day late and a dollar short as usual. Yesterday, June 26, 2006 was our 2 year anniversary. We made it! Steve is the only man who has been able to put up with my crap for more then 6 months, I seriously did not think we would make it through the engagement, one year, one month and handful of days. But we did and we planned a wedding to make us both happy. And then, he has stuck it out through the getting used to having a man in the house stage, Alex's getting used to having a third person in the mix messing up our Team, then the loss of our first baby less then 6 months after the wedding, then another loss and a D&C a couple months later, then another pregnancy and loss just 14 months after our wedding date. So thanks honey for putting up with my rotten reproductive system and for putting up with me and the boy and all our issues. Love ya.

Well, my "friend" Blogger won't let me add more pictures to this post. So now I have to start another one, so follow along and see the chain of events that led to the main event. ;)

Pictures of My Cats

I know you are all waiting for pictures of the bathroom, but I need the husband to go with to purchase the digital camera so that may be a while yet. However, I did get some old fashion film developed and had them put the pictures on CD for me so I can give you pictures of my lovely fur babies and even one of my big boy. So if I can figure out how to do this again, it has been almost a year, you will get to see my cats and my son. Wish me luck. ;)

Apparently I Am A Jinx

I am so very sorry that I jinxed you Lorem. I will just stay away the next time. For those of you who don't have password access if you do click on Lorem's link it will give you an email to send a message to to get the password. I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. Really, you don't have to wait for me, I need leaders to follow so get back in the game and let's get some babies! ;)

On the construction front, because I know you have all been holding your breath for this update.

Friday night, we put the toilet back in as well as the vanity. Had to do some tightening of bolts to stop some leaks in the toilet seal but now it is good to go. Vanity, some minor leakage in the faucets but I think that is because the washers dried out as it is no longer leaking. I also had Steve cut a peice of plywood to fit over the bathtub in that room since we never use that shower and I got that painted and installed and now the cat litter boxes are sitting up there. My goofy little cat apparently took a bad landing coming out off of the new "thrown room" and her right front paw was swelled up twice the size of her left paw. She is better now too.

Saturday, up early to help a friend with her rummage sale, then went to the birthday party of my friend's baby, should have been a double birthday if it would have worked out with my baby. Oh well, I got to drink this way. Then Saturday night we puttered some more in the new bathroom.

Sunday, back up to grandma's to wash walls. It really would have been nice with the 100% humidity in the air if we could have turned the A/C on or had fans going but instead we just sweated out asses off. Then got home and took a shower then went to the Dollar Store, Kmart*, and Wallyworld. Got home made dinner, ate, went to bed.

I know I am not all that exciting but you really should see my new bathroom, it is so cool. If I had a digital camera I would post pictures for you. Guess I may have to break down and get one of those some day.

Very hung over today from softball so not thinking too clearly. Take care and will hopefully be posting more fun stuff soon.

It's Friday, It's Friday!

Yeah! Another week closer to retirement, yes I know I have many years yet to go however, each week passing gets me closer and since I apparently am never going to reproduce again, which if you know me you are probably thinking that is not such a bad thing.

So anyway, besides being the end of the week we have super duper pooper scooper news in Blogland! It is really that good, I promise.

Vivien and my darling, harassed Lorem (who is now password protected so if you want to read her blog get me your email and I will pass it on to her and she can approve you) announced that they have seen the second line!!!!!!

This must mean good news is coming my way soon. First it was Lola, then Stephanie, then Lorem and now Vivien. Apparently I am digging for a sign and that is the order I started reading their blogs and now, WAHLAH! So is it my turn soon or do I have to wait much longer? If anyone has any idea please let me know.

Vivien suggested I do the temping thing. I have really tried to do that but I end up not sleeping at all in fear of not waking up at the same time everyday to do my temp or I just plain forget to do it so I have never had success with that. I will give it the old college try this month though since apparently you have done something right and if it works, I will send you my cat. Normally I would say give you my left arm, but if I have a baby I am probably going to need it.

So that is it, more home improvement projects and working at grandma's. I will sure be glad when July gets here and we have that house on the market. I won't know what to do with myself on weekends then, no more driving to Milwaukee, other then when we go visit grandma and we don't want to drive her crazy with bugging her too much. Oh well, I am sure I will find something to do. I did find a mother load of material on the dollar rack at Wally world today so I plan to make up some blankets and send them for Tertia's sister's charity. Check out Tertia on my sidebar and see what I am talking about, I think the post was Monday or Tuesday this week. Maybe by doing something good my karma will get better and something good will happen to me.

Oh, wish me luck for Anniversary sex and FF says that is the day I ovulate this month, isn't that ironic?

I Should Know Better By Now

I really should know better then to post that I don't have my period because everytime I do that guess what shows up? Oh yeah, the Bloody Plague. So anyway, more beer for me tonight when we have our double header softball games. I did say I was going to enjoy my summer and I guess I have more time now to do that, don't I?

Should be fun with nasty ass cramps trying to play ball. NOT!

Oh well. So that is all the news I have for you today. Sorry that I have not been the life of the party lately but I have been working my behind off, wish that was really happening, the behind off thing. Oh well, someday. I did lose 2 pounds somewhere between Boringtown and Milwaukee over the past 2 weeks though so not complaining about that.

Take care and behave.

An Update:
Tomorrow would have been our first baby's first birthday if things would have gone differently.
So, last month get my period on Mother's Day, this month the day before my baby should have been turning one. What does that hold for next month? I know it can't show up on the 4th at least.

Did You Miss Me?

So? Did you? I know I have not been the most exciting blogger lately and I really do apologize. I have been busy! Shocking as that seems, it is true.

Obviously not busy with work but let me give you the break down of excitement in Boringtown and the surrounding area.

Friday June 2, met cousin C and H at grandma's to move dressers and "stuff". That cousin of mine packed three dressers, a corner table and a sewing machine stand in the back of his truck and didn't lose any of it on the way home. Yeah! I have more stuff stored at another cousin's house.

Sat. June 3, butt crack of dawn, up to grandma's to start the move. Meeting of the minds commenced, not really any decisions so those of us, my two uncles and me, that stayed at the house had to make some administrative decisions, such as yes the dog pissed soaked carpet was coming out of the living room/dining room. 30 feet long, 12 feet wide. Boy was that fun. Plus the rotten, moldy shower had to be ripped out upstairs and and scrape the carpet padding that was stuck to the floor upstairs off of the floor. Let me just tell you that the two of us that currently work for a state environmental agency, probably should have had enough brains to wear masks when doing the scraping, but we were down to an area about 4 feet by 15 feet when we came to that realization, this is after scraping and sweeping the other 15x40 foot section. Yeah, we were in a hurry.

Sun. June 4, back up to grandma's to scrub the floors for 6 hours. Had to get the piss smell out of the house and scrape the padding from that carpet that was stuck to the hardwood floors up and hopefully get the house to smell better. Such a shame that we don't have time enough to refinish those floors before it goes on the market, I seriously think it would not be that difficult and would really increase the selling price on the house.

Mon. actually went to work. Found out that I did not have to drive my mom and Alex all the way up north come Friday and also discovered that my husband was planning on having his friend come down on the weekend to assist with installing our new backdoor, replacing the floor in Alex's bathroom where the toilet was ready to fall through due to previous plumbing issues that I did not get fixed in time and to replace the floor in the hallway to stop anyone from falling through that since the area in front of the backdoor was sagging quite nicely from the rain pouring right in the top of the door frame.

Tuesday, called in sick, stayed home and pulled up the tiles that I had in the hallway floor. Then mother reorganized my kitchen and we packed up a bunch of stuff that I wanted to keep but don't use, preparing for a real house even though I have no space to store shit in the the shed, made decisions to actually part with some of my treasures as well. Played softball.

Wednesday, went to work, tried to stay awake all day.

Thursday, stayed home and mom and I tore the bathroom apart. It took us from 8:00am to 4:00pm to fix the plumbing for the toilet, I had to install a shut off valve so that we didn't have to leave the water off to the entire trailer, during that procedure, busted the handle off of the shut off valve from the water main to the trailer, had to call the park manager to come fix that. Got water back to the house then removed the toilet and pulled up the crappy old linoleum. Made the decision to remove the vanity but since there are not shut off valves on those lines we made it up as we went. Shut off the main again, disconnected the faucet and took the vanity out then reconnected the faucet to the pipes and left it sitting there. Then since we still had an hour before I needed to shower before my chiro appointment we busted ou the shitty closet that was in that bathroom. We thought about pulling out the bathtub that no one ever uses and putting in a stationary tub since that is what that bathtub gets used for but decided that the two of us wouldn't be able to get the dang thing out by ourselves. So that was that for Thursday.

Friday, June 9. Steve took the day off and I went to work. Steve and mom showed up at the office about 9:30 and we went to Home G-spot, as Steve likes to call it. Picked up stuff we needed for the big Saturday project other then the plywood as we have no vehicle that can haul that big of stuff.
Friday night after I got home, loaded up mom and Alex and drove to Mauston to my aunt and uncle's house. My uncle convinced me to take a test for a job at the same place he works at so that is scheduled for tonight.

Saturday, June 10, drove back home and assisted Steve and B with the construction projects. They really did not have much accomplished in the 2 hours that B had been there other then they went into town and got the wood. So first project was to get the new floor into the bathroom since Steve had busted that out on Friday night after I had left. So they were dinking around doing that and low and behold the pipe started to leak, so off I go to the hardware store to get parts and tell them when I left, DO NOT PUT THE FLOOR IN TIL I FIX THE LEAKING PIPES, told them both twice before I left. I get back and they have the floor in place with no room for me to be able to see what I need to do or to reach under the floor to do the work as water is almost to point by then of spraying from the crack in the pipe. Because they couldn't turn the water off once they see it is leaking even though they were up and down the stairs that go right over the damn water main. So they had to cut a hunk out of the nice new floor and I fix the pipes and that is done.
They move on to getting the new door in since the old one was already laying in the yard and it was looking like it was ready to rain any minute. While they dinked around with the door and the floor I painted the bathroom walls since I did not have to worry about getting paint on the new floor as we are putting in a new vinyl. (if I ever post that I am thinking of sponge painting anything, would someone please smack me?) I had top paint that room three times to cover over my lovely dark blue and green that I had sponge painted in that room 3 years ago. It is nice and all I have to do is smooth the floor. Of course I asked that the boys pick me up a piece of thin plywood to go over the new wood so that I had a smooth surface to apply my new vinyl and they did not do it. Assholes. Well they got the door in and the wood down for the hallway floor. B left at 10:30 because of course we all know that J can't ever take care of her damn kids overnight, yet she can just go off gallivanting and leave B home alone.

Sunday, June 11, up at dawn to get to Grandma's to help her with her rummage sale. Then when that was finally done, we went over to her house. Just let me warn you if you are ever driving in Milwaukee and see a metallic, medium blue Dodge Neon* on the road, get the hell out of her way. My grandma drives like a bat out of hell. So I got to see her new apartment and sat there for a while with her and then came back home. Oh yeah and I bought her snowblower for Steve because I thought he was going to pee his pants when he found out she was selling it. The thing fit in my trunk but that will be fine for the size of our parking area that we have to remove snow from, if we ever get snow that won't just melt during the day when the cars are gone.

Monday, June 12, here at work and have to leave early to get to Milwaukee to take my test and hope to heck I get this job. It would be the recreation leader and sex offender treatment facility. Doesn't that sound fun? I actual think it does.

In other news, anyone know where my period is? I am too scared to pee on a stick and according to FF it isn't due to appear til tomorrow but the last few months I had some warning. Nothing so far. Just watch, with all the lifting, chemical exposure and stress of the past few weeks, I will be missing the period for this month and then what? Can anyone say, worry none stop, more then the last one even? I have to stop typing as my left hand is going numb. So I guess I will see what happens tomorrow, if the Bloody Plague appears or not.

Take care my darlings and sorry I have not been posting any comments to you, I have been able to squeeze in the daily read just no time to comment. Hopefully by July things will have slowed down enough to be more social. Take care and I hope you are still with me even though I am now a search and destroy mission of my house and Grandma's and not very exciting. Don't leave me, I promise more exciting posts someday again. ;)

Ok Becci, I Get The Hint

I have been trying to think of something exciting to share with you all and really don't have much to say, I know you all find that hard to believe.

We went up north to my parent's house for the long weekend. We all took Friday off and got on the road before the really bad Holiday traffic so that was nice. We got to Park Falls about 5:00 pm and met some of my friends at the bar. Much talking, drinking of beer and eating of pizza was done. It was so nice to see them again. I really miss them. Steve and I both looked at our watches and realized that it was 9:00, those 4 hours just flew by. So we finished up the drive another hour to mom and dad's. Got all settled in and went to bed.

Saturday was up at the crack of dawn because we sleep in the basement and father has yet to fix the creaking floor boards so you can hear my mom and dad "dancing" around in the kitchen when they get up. I refer to it as dancing because how long does it really take and how many steps do you need to walk in, get coffee and walk out? So I got up and got my coffee and helped mom put all of her decorations out in the flower garden. It is already so pretty stuff is so much greener up there and lots of her flowers are starting to bloom. It was really hot too which is very unusual for being that far north and only 20 minutes from Lake Superior.

My friend P. called me and we made plans to run to Ashland so she could do her shopping. I went with her and then the boys met us at her house for a cookout and Alex played with their kids. Those kids are just too darn cute. The daughter, G., is getting so big. I remember when she was just born. When I lived closer I was up there every other weekend spoiling those kids. I think P and D miss having me closer too especially now that the kids are older, they could probably pawn them off on me overnight now. So we had dinner and drank more beer. Do you see a theme going for this weekend yet?

Sunday, up at the crack of dawn again to help get things set up for a surprise birthday party mom was throwing for her friend Martha. Martha is one of those people that you can not surprise and her birthday is actually in June, so this was one time she was surprised. It was fun. I got to see lots of people that I haven't seen in years and talk to all the kids that I grew up with. More beer, started drinking at 11:00 am and went to bed at 11:00 pm.

Monday, got up early because I wanted to get on the road early to miss the traffic and to meet my cousin C at grandmas to move furniture that we were getting from her house after she moves. Turns out that it decided to rain down here so we did not get the stuff moved. I did drop mother off with grandma though and she has been there all week. It sounds like it was a good thing we left her there too because my crazy uncle was starting to pull shit already on Monday and who knows what he might have done if grandma was home alone.

Tuesday, was so looking forward to playing softball but we had terrible thunder, lightening and shitloads of rain so that was cancelled.

Wednesday, boring old work day and then a meeting after work where I got to hang out with some friends and drink beer.

Thursday, work, home, cooked dinner, Steve and I worked on these doors that we got for free that we plan to install to replace the back door on our trailer. We really need to get on that since Tuesday night we found that water was pouring in through the wall above the old door. I guess we will have more then just the door to fix now. Too bad my husband is less then handy when it comes to doing projects around the house. Anyone know anyone who works for beer and pizza that can help me?

Friday, working, hoping to take off at noon so that I can go get my new glasses, finally two prescriptions later I am getting new glasses, and picking up this years supply of contacts.

Plans for Saturday, move grandma if mother doesn't have it all done already. Maybe drink some beer. Maybe finally meet and hang out with my dear friend Kellie, but she has now found something to entertain herself while her family is off being atheletic and enjoying the bugs. ;)

Sunday, don't know for sure. We are invited to a graduation party in New Holstein but I really don't want to make that drive.

Oh yeah I need to call and get my oil changed on my car. Better get on that.

So dear, sweet Becci, I am still around and thanks so much for checking in on me. Hope all is still going well with you and the Bedrest Kid. ;)
