Tried to email in a post

Bloggity, bloggity, blog!

I know you all are just wondering what I did over the big, long holiday weekend. Well, let me tell ya.

Wednesday night I got the carpets cleaned at the trailer, got the stove and the fridge cleaned out too.

Thursday I got up and got the stuffing put together and into the turkey and got the bird in the oven. The relatives showed up and brought food and drinks and we ate way too much food. It was nice to have room to have people over and not be tripping over people.

Friday, Steve hauled more crap back from the trailer, yes we had more over there. I puttered around the house and decided to brave the back yard. I could see all these plastic flower pots at the far end of the yard and they were driving me nuts. You look out the kitchen window to the back yard. I get out there and there are tons of these flower pots, the kind that are on the plants when you buy them and then you bring them home and transplant them. Apparently picking them up after emptying them was beyond these people. Besides all the pots there were empty potting soil bags and garbage and broken toys all over in the area that at some point in time was an actual garden. I also ripped out all the dead weeds to make it look a little more like someone cares about the yard. Guess we will be having a big old bonfire some night.

Saturday, more puttering around the house. Can’t really remember what we all did. Might have gone over to the trailer and washed and waxed the floor in the kitchen but that could have been on Sunday too. I am sure it was more of putting stuff away. Sunday, I spent about 4 hours sucking the cobwebs out of the ceiling in the basement. While I was doing that Steve was installing a programmable thermostat for the furnace. He got it going but then it wouldn’t shut off the boiler so it was close to 80 degrees in the house.

I had to empty the shop vac out twice because it was full of cobwebs and dirt and just crap from all over the basement, we have a baby shop vac just so you know. 2 gallon I think. So I finally get as much of the spider houses that I can and am ready to put a clean rug on the floor in the basement. We have Alex set up with a tv and the PS2. I start going down the basement stairs and see this shadowing thing, I think must have scared one of the cats. Well, I get further down the steps and see that there is a freaking bat flying around in the basement. I just about crap my pants, I scream spin around and fall on the steps and then crawl as fast as I can to get up the stairs and away from the flying rat. Steve and Alex are at the other end of the house in the living room and the basement steps are off the kitchen. So all they hear is my screaming and they come running and then have the freaking balls to laugh at me. I tell them both to get brooms and get their sorry asses to the basement and get rid of the vermin. Alex gets right on that is heads down, Steve not so keen on facing off with a bat. They are down there about 5 minutes and I hear the boy say he got it. My hero! Then he puts a bag over it and hauls it outside. Needless to say I am still freaked out when I go to the basement. Or upstairs for that matter. Don’t like bats. Way too many run ins with them as a child.

So that was the big finale for the weekend, the bat show. Still fighting a lovely cold that has now moved to my lungs so I sit here at work hacking up a lung all day long. That is so much fun. NOT!

Hope you all had a great weekend. Sorry I am not more commenty and brilliant lately but man this cold is nasty!

DD is doing a real life card exchange. If you want in go visit her and get on the list.

I am BAAACK!

Ok, I am going to try to type this in word and transfer to blogger, if it will let me.

The adventure begins on Wednesday the 15th, up at 4:00am with the worst cramps in years; of course my period had to arrive on time this month. So I got up made coffee took half a bottle of aspirin and watched the news til Alex got up at 6:00. Got him ready and off on his way to school. Then Steve got up and we got ready and left to get to our 9:00am closing.

Arrived early so sat and looked at the paint color swatches I had picked up a couple weeks ago. At 5 to 9 we went into the building to start signing away our lives, or my life since the loan is in my name.

Signed papers for about an hour and a half and finally the place was ours. Oh and the lady didn’t bring the house keys, apparently they never locked the house so didn’t think maybe we would like to have the keys in our grubby little paws once it was ours.

Then of course we had to stop at Men*ards and bought ceiling fans with lights for the upstairs bedrooms since there are no lights or radiators in the bedrooms. Then I started getting cranky because of course by then the aspirin from 4:00am was wearing off. So we stopped and ate and I took another handful of pills.

We stopped at the trailer to get the cleaning supplies and change into cleaning clothes and it was a good thing we did. The place was FILTHY!!!!! I spent 8 hours on Wednesday cleaning the kitchen cupboards, walls, fridge and floor. So far in the 7 days we have owned the place I have washed that floor 5 or 6 times and it is still coming back with black water. I have used every different cleaner I have in my arsenal of cleaners. Perhaps I am starting to just dissolve the damn thing now, who knows.

While I was busy in the kitchen Steve tore out all the carpet from the three bedrooms, was that gross. I am sure the neighbors were wondering what the hell we were doing as Steve decided instead of dragging that gross stuff all through the house he opened a window and was pitching it out the second floor window onto the front yard. Then he was going to just leave it there. I convinced him that we probably should drag it into the garage and then cut it up and roll it nice for the garbage men.

Thursday, back to the house at 7:00am to clean some more. I started in on taking the fuzz off the walls. All the walls were covered in dust and cobwebs, it looked like no one had lived here in a really long time. Apparently when this lady was told that having hot water heat reduced the amount of dust in your house, she took that to mean it was a self cleaning house and having 3 kids and 2 adults, they never brought in any dirt or dust. My Bloglandian Duty for the Day: Hot water heat does not equal self cleaning house.

Even the closets in the bedrooms, which they did use as they were full of crap both times we looked at the place, had those icky black cobwebs that I have not seen so many since my Grandpa died and we cleaned out the upstairs at the old farm house that had not been used in 20 years.

One of the guys I work with came over in the evening and replaced the outlets in the living room. Oh that was fun, we found out that only the top of each outlet had power all the time and the bottom one was controlled by a switch that was in the dining room. Guess we will be duct taping that switch up so that we can plug in the TV, DVD player, Playstation and then lamps to light the place since there is no overhead lights in that room.

That is about all I can remember about Thursday, I guess all the cleaning chemical fumes got to me on that day. Oh yeah, we primed our bedroom and Alex’s bedroom. I forgot to bring home the digital camera and the one disposable that we had film left on, the flash didn’t work. I did get pictures of the before, when we first walked in but you really don’t see the fuzzy walls or the floor filth. I did wash the woodwork in the stairwell and washed a layer of filth off the wood floors in the living room and dining room.

Friday, more wall washing and then went and ordered carpet for the boy’s room. Fuck is that shit expensive when you have it installed! Steve insisted that we have a “professional” do the install. Shit, I could easily have done it myself and saved the $250 dollars it cost us for that. Needless to say, I will be doing the other two bedrooms no matter what the husband says, unless he is willing to fork out the cash for it next time.

Then the painting began. Steve started painting while I went to order and pay for the carpet. He won’t be painting walls again. I bought the good paint, just plain white to start, so it is a bit thicker then the cheap paint. He used over half a can of paint on two walls in Alex’s room, the little room. It was like cake frosting on that damn walls. I used the rest of the can to finish the walls and all the trim and ceiling in that room. Plus with no exhaust fans or air circulation in this house we had to open windows and put the regular fans going to stop the steam from building up at the top of the walls and causing it to run. We have a few drips on the walls. I can sand it later, right?

Then I got our room painted. When the carpet came up in our room there were cork tiles on the floor, very pretty except that whoever painted that room was an even messier painter then I am and I spent an hour scraping paint off that floor and then washing it and then putting a clear floor polish on it. It looks nice except for the areas that must have been a wall at some time and is patched with plywood. We have to be careful walking in there too because we left the tack strips on floor for the mysterious someday that we get carpet in that room.

I thought that I should clean out the shower in the one and only bathroom we have with a tub and shower. Yeah, that was interesting. Apparently besides not cleaning the house, these people did not bath or shower either. The tub surround is only attached with about 3 gobs of adhesive to the wall and it is one of the super cheap ass plastic things that if you set a full bottle of shampoo on the shelf in it, the shelf bends til the shampoo falls off. At some point they must have attempted to resurface the bathtub and that so did not work out for them. When we came to see the place they had a tub mat in the bottom of the tub, and tell me who is going to touch one of those things covered with other peoples tub/body scum? So how was I to know that when they took their tub mat out and took it with them that the fucking resurfacing paint would be peeling off in sheets? Or that the damn tub surround was not caulked, AT ALL, all the way around the tub? Oh, and how many people climb into the bathtub or shower when they are looking at a house? I highly suggest that you do this if you are taller then 4 feet. The shower head hits me in the chin and I am only 5’4”. Plus the floor is the old plank floor boards that have been painted white yet not ever sanded to be smooth but still have pits and scrapes that are wonderful at collecting any dust or dirt in them that is impossible to get out.

Oh, and the radiators upstairs. There is one in the hallway and one in the bathroom. We took the cover off the one in the hallway and the damn thing was so fuzzy that you could barely see between the sections of the radiator. I tried to suck it out with the shop vac but the attachment was not long enough. So I got the bright idea of using the blower option on the shop vac. Don’t try doing this AFTER you have washed all the damn walls and floors in your house. The blower on this machine could hold back a freaking tidal wave and needless to say sent softball gobs of dust all over the house, all the way downstairs. It is clean now though so hopefully should work better as it will not need to heat all that damn dust up and can now heat the air and the house. The one in the bathroom was full of crusty old pot pouriee seed pods. Also, the top part from being in a bathroom was sticky and filthy on the top. Clean now.

Saturday I had to work helping collect deer heads, you know November in Wisconsin is the big deer slaughter and working for the people I work for, can’t say it here, I volunteer to help out the one program I would love to work for if only they could pay as well as the shit ass program I do work for. So I was off by 7:00am to work a 13 hour day in the wind and cold looking at dead deer and chopping off their heads and filling out paperwork. Needless to say, I now have a fucking cold and a huge ass cold sore on my bottom lip that looks like someone punched me. Part of the cold sore thing though is from the stress of this stupid house purchase, cleaning and moving.

So Steve was in charge of rallying the troops to get all our crap, ok, my crap, moved to the new house. It got done, I am so very impressed, Good Job Honey! We ended up spending Saturday night at the trailer still, simply because we could shower there. Then Sunday I had to babysit for my neighbors 18 month old, the one that was due the day after my due date with the first baby I lost, so yeah, little sleep, exhausted, stressed about not being able to help out at my own damn house and then having to take care of a baby that I should have had one that same age, I was a bit overwhelmed.

Sunday night after I was done babysitting I got over to the house and was amazed at all the shit I have. I will be having a huge ass rummage sale soon. So started just trying to figure out what was what and where to put the shit. I also caulked the tub surround so that we could at least start taking showers there, that is fun, I am learning how to do back bends in order to rinse my hair.

So it is coming together slowly. Still need to finish a bit of cleaning at the trailer so that hopefully that will sell. Since all of you lovelies in Blogland sent those good wishes and I got a house please send some more so that my trailer sells. I am also developing a fine set of leg and ass muscles from going up and down stairs a million times a day now instead of living on a nice flat trailer.

Oh and we brought the poor cats over. They are NOT happy about any of this. They refused to come out of the cat carrier for 4 hours and then when 2 of them did come out they ended up hiding behind the dryer all the way down in the gross dirty basement. Monday night I did some laundry and when I fired up the dryer Squirt shot out of behind the dryer like a canon but Jack stayed in there and howled like he was being killed. So I grabbed both of them and put them on the couch with Alex. Elsa still had not left the pet carrier so I put her on the couch with Alex too.

When I left work Tuesday morning Elsa had made it upstairs and was hiding under the covers of our bed. At one point Jack had been up there as well as I saw him run when I got up to shut the alarm off. So I guess we will see what adventures await me when I get home.

Oh, and I am having relatives for Thanksgiving, do you think I should maybe buy a turkey?

Oh, and I got a call from the one and only DD, at work! One of the links on her blog was taking me to a porn site, apparently it is just my computer, lucky me. Too bad it keeps happening on my freaking WORK computer. Not good. But Nana-na-nana, I talked to DD. We so have to have a Midwest Blogfest this summer. Just don't let her have any permanent markers. ;)

Not Too Much Excitement So Far Today

So far today has been pretty calm, for me. I talked to Kellie last night and I still can't believe how young she sounds on the phone, I always think it is her daughter answering. She is scheduled for surgery at noon today. Her dad was scheduled for 5:30 this morning and she was hoping the have heard something on that before she had to go in for her own. Send her lots of good thoughts today, I know you all will because you are wonderful!

I am hoping to get to the hospital to visit her on Saturday unless she gets discharged early.

Husband and I spent last evening figuring out what we want to do to fix up our new house. I really want to try to bring back some of the old house charm. Right now there are wood floors in the living room and dining room. Those old floor tiles, the kind I remember from the cafeteria of my old grade school. They are in nice shape but it still would be nice to maybe to wood floors in there at some point. The kitchen needs new counter tops at some point as well.
The bathroom is really going to be our biggest project. It is a fairly large room but the tub, toilet and sink are all crammed on one side of the room. Then there is a radiator on one wall, yes we will have hot water heat, that is totally new to me so if anyone knows anything about it please feel free to share you experiences. We will also need to install a fan in this room to suck out the steam to avoid ruining the plaster walls if that isn't already too late. This room will need new doors as the ones on it now are crap plus they don't shut and if the boy is taking a shower all doors must be locked tight. ;) 13 year olds!
The hallway and bedrooms upstairs are going to need new carpet because other people's carpet grosses me out, icky! I am hoping that there are decent floors under that but I guess we will see. Bedrooms are going to need either new doors or else just fix the doors so they are not freaking falling off the hinges.
The attic room that had all the lovely bare wires is totally uninsulated so that is going to be one of the first things we do to help avoid heat loss. We would like to actually finish it with drywall at some point to and probably put carpet in there to make it usable for a game room for the boy. Have to call an electrician to put in some outlets but everything else we should be able to do.
I plan to spend what time is still available after the closing on Wednesday cleaning and then my neighbor said she would help me on Thursday and Friday doing more cleaning and hopefully we can get some painting done too.
The living room is a sage green which I think I will keep.
Dining room is red, so that has to go.
Kitchen right now is white walls with white cabinets. The counter tops are like a beige with mint green in them, geometric design.
Stairwell and hallway upstairs is whitish, probably keep that for now as I have to patch a hole in the plaster where someone took out about a 12 inch by 4 inch hole, this is in a curved wall in the hallway.
Smaller bedroom upstairs is a yucky blue. That has to go.
Bigger bedroom is a burgundy, which would be fine if there was more then one small window in the room, so that has to be lightened up.
The bedroom downstairs is white with built in cabinets and cupboards with yucky blue carpet. That room will probably be mom and dad's room so we won't deal with that for a while as it has no freaking heat in it. So that will be storage as we unpack stuff.
There are french doors between the living room and dining room that need some work, basically hardware that goes with the old house feel, right now they have these shiney brass latches that just don't go.
I hope that they did actually do the repairs that they said they would do. I am probably paranoid but I fear that they are going to take the appliances that were in the kitchen out and put in crap ones. If they do there will be hell to pay.
In the basement we have to close up a crawl space hole so the cats don't disappear into it on us. Any ideas on how to attach a cover to concrete?
If anyone knows of any good, cheap architectural salvage places in the southeastern Wisconsin area please let me know. I will looking for doors, lighting, fixtures, door knobs, crown molding and other hardware for cabinets and doors.
I hope they do some cleaning and take all their crap out of the upstairs of the garage too.
Still have not heard if my realtor's baby made here yet or not. I am hoping he did as her water broke yesterday morning. I just can't believe she hasn't called me, like she has anything else on her mind right now. ;) I am kidding! I am sure my house dilema is the last thing on her mind right now even though she told me yesterday when she was on her way to the hospital that she would be there for the closing next week. I just hope she is ok and that the baby is too. She is a young thing though, only 33 so they should be ok, right?
Well, I suppose that is enough rambling for now. Take care and send good thoughts to our dear Kellie and her dad today. She was joking that she was hoping to lose 6 - 12 pounds with her surgery. What a trooper to still have a sense of humor with all she is dealing with. We love you Kellie!

Trying to keep up with the Kellie. ;)

Since Kellie posted twice today, I just had to as well since she is my idol. ;)

We may have a buyer for our trailer! Maybe, just maybe we are getting some good luck? Ok, that just jinxed it but it was fun while it lasted, right?

So I need to wait for that call back and with me luck. I sure have been asking for alot of luck lately.

Kellie, I will send some of my good luck, when I get it, your way, ok dear? Wishing you all the best tomorrow and to your dad too.

If you still stop by here, Thanks!

I know that this blog has gone from a baby making drama machine now to a freaking What Not To Do When Buying A House Blog. Hope some of you are still hanging out waiting for latest sink hole I have gotten myself into.

I think that I am now pretty close to being able to take the Real Estate Licensing Exam and pass. Yes I have read the codes, researched my ass off and it looks like I can just kiss my ass good bye in regards to getting out of this house deal.

My only options right now are to go through with the deal or to walk away and risk being sued for damages. Those damages from what an actual real life real estate attorney told me could be their mortgage payment for every month that house doesn't sell. Then I would have to sue my realtor, who I feel did nothing wrong other then agreeing to work with a couple of nut cases, that we be us.

Oh, and she is in labor and on her way to the hospital now, as we speak. I really hope she has an easy labor and she really needs to get a name picked out for that little boy. Send her good thoughts please.

I had a thought on another possible way out, just throw another $500 at them and see if they will go away. Now take into account that they supposedly made some of the repairs that we asked them too. However, all of the things we asked for should have been done prior to them even listing the property. Per the city electrical codes they shouldn't have been living in that house with the wires in the attic and basement exposed like they were.

Take into account that this "attic" is actually an uninsulated room upstairs, it has a full sized door and a window in it and they used it to store stuff in so it is not like what most people consider an attic to be, with the small crawl through door and not usable for much more then Christmas decorations.

Also, under the disclosure laws they were required to make note of the fact that there was that wiring issue as well as file an amendment to that disclosure report when they new the toilet and shower plumbing had issues and that they did not have them repaired prior to listing the property.

I also discovered that their listing agent was required to do an inspection of the property and point out to the sellers the major defects such as wiring, plumbing, broken doors before he listed it.

So I guess I wait for this broker lady to call me back to see if maybe losing $1000 dollars, that would be the extra five hundred and my earnest money, to get out of this deal is an option. Wish me luck.

Don't ever set such short deadlines for yourself and not give yourself enough time to think things over, like I did. Yes, if we ever meet I do expect you to give me a swift kick in the ass over this screw up.

Hope I still have some of you reading here. Maybe some day this blog will go back to being about happy stuff, like puppies and kitties and who knows maybe even a baby, ok baby kitty or puppy?

We are so screwed

Heard from my realtor today that the broker for the listing agent is not going to let us out of the deal on that house. Needless to say that puts us in quite a bind as I had my mortgage guy stop our loan, the appraisal and everything.

I guess what did it was that we did an amendment to them to correct only some of the problems and then because they did not get back to us in time for us to file a notice which would have been our out, we are now stuck with a house we really don't want and that needs a shitload of work. FUCK!!!

So please if anyone out there knows any more about real estate transactions then I do and I have read damn near everything on the Wisconsin Realtor Associations legal services website about this and it really looks like we are stuck.

Oh and my realtor was having contractions this morning, not just Braxton Hicks. Please send thoughts to that little boy to stay put until we get this straightened out. He isn't supposed to arrive til the 18th. SHIT. SHIT. SHIT!!!!!

Or if you know a real estate attorney in South Easter Wisconsin email me with their number. I need to know something today because we are scheduled to close on the 15th, 8 days from today. Can you tell I am pulling my hair out here?

We escaped, mostly unscathed

We got out of the deal. Yeah! They are still trying to keep my earnest money, but I don't think that they can since they wrote a counter to our amendment and that is similar to a counter to the original monetary offer so we had the option to stop the deal then and we did. My mortgage guy said that they are probably trying to scare me with that because their realtor is losing a sale. Too bad so sad for him, he should have had the sellers fix the damn toilet and wiring before putting it up for sale. The line they are trying is that the sellers, in good faith, started to make the repairs, well sorry but I am not paying you my earnest money to make repairs that should have been made when you lived there. Plus there was a shitload more stuff that we could have told them to fix, example being the damn bedroom and bathroom doors were falling off, fits the lame ass definition of a defect. HA!

Apparently the lady for my dream house is still willing to deal with us, so I am writing her another letter telling her what our bottom line is and see if she is willing to work with us or if the realtor is telling the truth that she wants to stick to her prices. I won't know unless I ask, right? Plus I would kick myself forever if I didn't ask. I would be so pissed if we bought something else and then that house sold next summer for what we would have offered on it. I guess we wait and see.

My realtor didn't call me yesterday like she said she would so I am wondering if she is in the hospital having her baby, she is down to 2 weeks til her due date so he could show up at anytime. I will wait to see if she calls me by tonight and if not then I will try calling her. This gives me time to work on my letter and make sure I include everything I want to say. Please send good, positive vibes my way on this house. I REALLY want this one.

Love to all and I hope that you are having less stressful weeks then I am. ;)

I know you are waiting for this.

Kelliemade it back from surgery and posted without calling me and letting me do it so she could rest. Naughty Kellie. Go give her a hug, she got some not so good news yesterday and is waiting for test results, unless she posted in the last 10 minutes since I checked on her.

Yeah! Catherine got her package. I am so sorry that those dragonflies fell off. I knew I should have gotten to it and sewed them on. I hope that you understand what I was going for with them.

House Drama Update:
Ok, so we are currently trying to get out of this house deal. Dream house is back on the market, same price, not $20,000 higher like the MLS listing states. Husband called the listing agent and it is still $189,900. Add on the new roof, gutters and the paint allowance and I am so there.

Just need to break out of this other deal. I was told that it is too late. So of course when told I can't get my way, I dig for a way out.

So far today I have, had my mortgage guy check with his realtor guys for a call on this play. They don't know what to think.

Was told by my realtor last night that I would most likely lose my earnest money and be sued for breach of contract. How can it be breach of contract when I still planned to use my realtor to get the deal closed on this other house? I could see if I said, screw it all I am not buying any house. Help?

Have not seen a copy of the signed amendment to the offer. That they were supposed to have in by noon today. I need to know is that in to their realtor, my realtor or me. If it is to me, well then we are done here because I have not seen a thing.

Called the realtor who sold me my house up north 13 years ago and who I have not seen or talked to in over 5 years, he works for the same company as my realtor, so I figured I would try for someone in the same company opinion.

I was told by the up north realtor that if the sellers didn't agree to make all the corrections we asked for, then we can get out of the deal and not lose our money or get sued. If they countered our amendment then we still have the right to get out of this deal.

I also researched what the City municipal codes are relating to plumbing and electrical corrections and technically this house shouldn't have been able to be listed, under these codes, until many more corrections besides what we asked for were made.

You are all REALLY going to know how far off the deep end I am after you read this. If you want to continue to think of me a the funny, wonderful, slightly wacky Pollyanna of Blogland, STOP READING NOW!

Ok, I think that the crazy lady that owns the doll house relisted it for me. I also think that karma or some other higher power stepped in and made the price on the MLS listing 20 grand higher to discourage anyone from looking at that house until we were ready to buy it. See I told you to stop reading up there. There has to be something besides just me being a total freaking loon with this house, I. CAN'T. STOP.THINKING.ABOUT.IT!!!!

Oh, and I am so turning into my dad. I am paranoid that everyone is out to get me, seriously you in the computer are my only friends. I can't shut off my brain, ever, even at night it is going and I wake up more tired then when I went to bed. That sucks cause I love my sleep. My husband thinks I am losing it, which I probably am. So I need to get in to see the therapist about this latest dilema. Anything good I should ask for from the doc?

So any legal advice that you want to share with me on this deal, my next step is to talk to an attorney if I don't get my way on this soon. If you were wondering, I was already thinking of getting out of this deal before the Dollhouse showed up on the market again. Of course now I REALLY want out.

Thank you all for your comments from my other House Drama posts.

Soralis, happy news, sorry I didn't post about you before, hope I don't jinx you dear.

I Guess I Don't Have It So Bad After All

My dear, lovely internet friend Kellie got some bad news yesterday. She emailed me and is going to call or email me this afternoon to post an update if she is unable to post herself. I am only 20 minutes away from her but it feels like a world away when I am unable to be there to help her today. Please keep her in your thoughts today and send good vibes so that this just turns out to be a sticky lining and nothing more serious like the doc suspects. This poor girl can not catch a break and I thought I was having a bad week.

Big Hugs from the east to you Kellie and hoping that you just have an over achieving lining.

So if you read here go give her a cyberhug and stop back for updates as the day goes on.

Need Your Advice

Saturday we had the inspection done on the Brick house.

The problems that seem to me to be a big deal but apparently are not to the seller:

1. bare wires all over in the attic and the basement
2. water does not shut off in the shower/tub in the upstairs bathroom which also happens to be attached to what would be my freaking bedroom. Can you see it, up all night peeing because of that noise?
3. railings on the front and back steps are broken.
4. not one outlet in the entire house is grounded or has the 3 pronged outlets so that you can plug in the freaking microwave or hey the fucking fridge?
5. toilet upstairs doesn't flush, apparently they don't ever have to pee or poop in this house.

Problems I have based on sitting there for 3 hours while the inspector worked:
1. the place is filthy! especially the kitchen.
2. all outlets need to be replaced so that we can plug in our shit.
3. all carpet needs to go as these people are pigs.
4. there is no cable line run to the living room and there is really no good place to put our tv. Sorry we live for our tv watching folks.

I spent the day on Monday calling plumbers and electricians to get quotes on what it would cost to fix just the bare wires and the freaking leaking water spouts, got those, cut them in half and then we asked that they either escrow it or give us a check for it. they are now going to fix it themselves. Yeah, you better be getting real licensed electricians and plumbers to do the damn work too because I will be asking for that information.

I want out of this deal. Anyone tell me if I can do that?

My dream house is back on the market for $20,000 more then it was listed when we tried to offer on it yet does not say that the roof, siding or windows are being fixed. Don't you usually lower the price after your house has been on the market for 7 damn months instead of going up a totally unreasonable amount? Just asking. I still really want this house. Any advice you can give me will be appreciated.
